Surnames: Smith Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/VJIBAEB/28366.1.1.2.1 Message Board Post: Well, we have the name Nelson in common. :) Based on all compiled information, I've deduced that my great grandma Jo and Herbert Smith, sometime between 1920 and 1930, "got together". In 1920 he was married to Anna. In 1919 Grandma Jo was married for the first time (I'm guessing Wheelock). But at some point the two of them (Josephine and Herbert) had a tryst, possibly while still married to their current significant others. My grandfather was born in 1924. I don't know when they married, or if they did. Though family information claims they were and her family had it anulled (there was 36 years difference between them). If this is the case, I can see why my grandfather didn't speak of the specifics. Now if I can just find that daughter and the fire. Thank you again, so much!
