James Smith Sr. born in Va. in 1777 m. Elizabeth ? and was in Ind. in 1820, by 1825 Elizabeth had died and left James with minor children {under 14} Sally and Martin. census list also has him with several more children. I beleive one to be James T. b. 1805, and possibly Hanna & Anna.above the age of 14. James Sr. had a brother named William who had also died and left his estate to James children. James Sr had land in Orange co. and he possibly married again to another Elizabeth Allgood it lists them on the later censuses. Martin is listed later in Lawrence co.
