I found some old paintings of his, original and very good. Two are signed E. Sewall Smith, the other two he left the E. off. My mother (Phyllis Erlin Kaiser) took Art Classes in Seattle Washington and the Chicago Art Institute. I have her Art portfolio with her art from the early to mid 1930's. I found the Sewall Art among her's. They are of the same style as many of hers, the picture painted in the middle of the art paper, leaving a wide border around it.
