Smith of Boise, Idaho, formerly of Denver, Colorado, was released from her earthly bonds to join her Lord and Savior at the age of 88. There will be a public viewing on Monday, April 17th from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at Hampden Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Denver. Boise arrangements are by Summers Funeral Homes, Boise Chapel. Ruth was born September 10, 1917 in Chillicothe, Missouri. She married her husband, J. Ray Smith in Chillicothe. They then moved to Denver, Colorado. Ray and Ruth raised two fine sons there, William "Bill" and Larry. Ray preceded her in death on April 22, 2002 after 65 years of wedded bliss. Ruth then moved to Boise, Idaho to be with her "boys". Ruth was a very devoted member of Grace United Methodist Church in Denver. She is survived by her two sons, two grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and her daughter-in-law. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be given to Grace United Methodist Church Food Bank or Music Ministry, 4905 East Yale Avenue, Denver, Colorado 80222.
