Ardmore Democrat Ardmore, Oklahoma Thursday, June 2, 1932 Funeral of Old Veteran Is Held Funeral of FREDERICK K. SMITH, 93, federal soldier in the War between the States, who died Sunday at his home on Ninth Ave. and K St. NE, were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m. from Harvey Bros. Chapel. The rites were in charge of Rev. GEORGE M. KING, pastor of the Emmanuel Church, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. A group of Spanish-American War veterans served as pall bearers. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. VICTORIA JOBE, and Mrs. CALEDONIA ABBOTT, both of Sardis, and Mrs. JOSEPHINE POWELL of Ardmore, and three sons, WILLIAM SMITH, FRANK SMITH and MELVIN SMITH, who all live at County Line. Bearers were W. S. WEST, JOHN GRIFFIS, LAMONT BYARS, O. H. HOLLAND, O. M. REDFIELD, and L. C. BLACKSTOCK. The honorary bearers were Col. J. T. MCKIBBEN, WILLIAM HUTCHINSON, I. C. BOMAR, FRED E. ORMSBY and O. A. SHUMATE.
