Joe, for persons this late, here are places that I would look: Social Security Death Index online for those already deceased, at: http://www.ancestry.com (free) http://www.familysearch.org (free) You can order the SSDI paperwork from the government and it will give the names of the next of kin for the person who has died. Cost is around $10 per individual. Check out the newspaper obituaries for these people. See if you can backtrack on any of the named survivors, using city directories or telephone directors. Do name searches in specific states for people. http://www.411.com (telephone) http://www.searchbug.com (telephone) Do an obituary search on www.Google.com for obituary aggregators, and then see if you can do individual searches for people. I have started researching my husband's family tree and would you believe he has a Smith also! Not much information is known about Robert Craig Smith except he was born Mar 22, 1883 and died Jun 19, 1942. He's buried in Gorman, TX. He married a woman named Pearl, but I don't know her last name. She was born Mar 16, 1886 and died Oct. 3, 1962. She is also buried in Gorman, TX. They had a son named Alton Thomas Smith who was born Aug 24, 1907 in Gorman, TX. If anyone knows this line please feel free to contact me. Paula Smith
