Do you know if they might be related to my Samuel S. Smith? He had two children George and Nancy Ellen. I do not know their mother's name. Samuel remarried in 1884 to Nancy G. Turner. They had a son John. He was living with Nancy's parents in 1900 and his older brother later. I do not know where Sam and Nancy ended up. Sam and his two children first show up in 1880 in Ford's Ferry KY, he is listed as widowed. Ellen married William H. Winders they are buried in Pope County. (Their daughter Myrtle married Richard Taylor) they lived in Pope county. From what I have found the family moved from Crittenden KY to Illinois.
