The only Smith, I know of that was connected to Chrysler Corporation, in a position such as Vice President was Jack Smith. My Family has tales of this being my Uncle on my Grandfathers side. My Grandfather was Stanley H. Smith, living in Louisiana by 1922 or so. We also have the same story of his father being Indian, but the connection is to one of the Souix tribes. Also one of Herbert's sons was a Charles. E-mail me and lets see if we can help each other or do we just have similar family stories. Bearcat Smith

Fowler b. <1792 NC and Mary B. ?? b. <1794 NC, died in Weakley Co. Their children included Hugh??, James A. <1832 TN, Maria, Sarah, and Coleman Sheridan Fowler b. 8-31-1836 TN. James A. and Martha A. Yurbeville?? Fowler had 9 children---Elbert E., John S. ("Bud"?), Mary E., Henry C., James Wesley, Isaac A., Louisa E., Martha A., and Leona L. In the late 1800's an ongoing fued between Fowler & Smith boys turned deadly. Two of James A.'s sons, "Bud" and Henry, were killed by two sons of Fletcher Smith (one named Tom??). They are all found on the 1880 Weakley Co. TN census, but by 1900 they are difficult to find. I finally found Martha A. Fowler in 1900 in St. Louis, MO living with sons James W. and Isaac A. and daughter Leona L., but haven't found anything after that. I would very much like to find more information on this family as well as any living descendants, and determine what is the connection between the Fowlers, Smiths, and Reagans of Weakley Co. I have a photo taken around 1900 that I believe to be James Wesley Fowler. I would like to confirm this, as well as to find out if any of the Fowler family had any injuries to or loss of any limbs. I would also like to find more information on the fight mentioned above. There was a trial in Weakley Co., and the two Smith boys were sent to prison. So far, I've been unable to locate court records of the case or newspaper articles about it. Any help/info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jewel
Fred I have thought for a long time that Adam was the father of Jacob Schmidt but I can't prove it. In the Index of Burials at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery, Highland Township, Franklin County, IN there is the following: Jacob Schmidt died July 14 1864 72 years old.
