Which Sion Smart are you asking about, Sion, son of William & Jamima Smart? If so, he was first married to Jane Choat in Lawrence Co. TN, 21 Sep 1830. Then married Nancy Marcum on 22 Nov 1861 in Texas, probably Leon County. I don't know if Marcum was Nancy's maiden name or if she had been married previously. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, November 05, 2014 2:01 AM To: [email protected] Subject: SMART Digest, Vol 9, Issue 23 Today's Topics: 1. I have Nancy Jane marring William B. Rowe in Coosa Co, AL, on December 16, 1847. In 1850 they are living in Shelby County, Texas, near her relatives. According to probate records William died in June of 1863. Some researchers have Nancy Jane marrying Sion in 1861. Is it possible Nancy and William divorced?
