It's all speculation but I think his parents were Daniel Smart and Rachel Lewis who married in 1802 in Washington County, Maryland. Is that what you found? Possible kids names are: *Sarah Ann Smart married Elijah Castle in Berkley in 1826 *Amelia A. Smart born abt. 1804 married John Kyser in Berkley in 1825 (named a daughter Sarah and one Eliza Jane) *Samuel G. Smart born in Virginia abt. 1805, marries Eliza Rutherford in Ohio and eventually ends up in Detroit, Pike county, IL (named a son Daniel) *Tabitha R. Smart born in Virginia abt. 1808, marries Jacob Paden in Berkley in 1828 (names a son Andrew Jackson) *Zachariah L. Smart born abt. 1815 in Virginia, marries a Martha J. and ends up in Pike county as well *Eliza J. Smart born abt. 1817 in Ohio but marries David Kyser in Berkley and ends up in Pike county. *Andrew Jackson Smart born abt 1821 in Virginia, ends up in Pike county. (named a daughter Eliza Jane, also may have named a son, Jacob Harden Smart, after a son Tabitha had that died, Jacob H. Paden) William Smart born abt. 1824 in Virginia, marries Elizabeth J. Welch and ends up in Pike County.
