This family is rather strange with many multiple marriages (liaisons, in any case) and probably lots of abandoned children/wives. So, oddly enough, I've found more information about the women in the family than the men. Having said that, I'm going to start with the wife's family and proceed down from there. Richard JONES (b. 1807 - 1808, Wrexham, Denbighshire, Wales; d. ca Sep 1868, (Bristol Dist), Gloucester, England) married Sophia ??? (b. 1806 - 1807, Somerset, England or Falmouth, Cornwall, England; d. 1862 - 1875, (Bristol Dist), Gloucester, England). They had 2 children: (1) Eliza Sophia JONES (b. 1828 - 1832Bristol, Somerset, England; d. 07 Feb 1876, (Bangor Dist), Anglesey, Wales) married 2 times. (#1 - 1st marriage) Robert SMART (possibly a sailor, but I wouldn't bet on it). They had 2 children: (1a) Sophia Jones SMART (b. 03 Nov 1853, Bristol (Bristol Dist), Bristol County, England; d. 03 Nov 1918, (Bangor Dist), Anglesey, Wales) married Charles GEAR on 09 Dec 1873, Menai Bridge Twp, Llandysilio (Bangor Dist), Anglesey, Wales. Their children: Lucy, Eliza, Phoebe "Polly", Mary, Sophia, Charles Walter. (1b) William Richard SMART (b. 08 Jun 1860, Liverpool (St. Martin Dist), Lancashire, England; d. 06 Oct 1945, Eureka, Humboldt Co., CA, USA) married 2 times (possibly 3). (#1b - 1st marriage) Mary OWEN (OWENS) (b. 20 Oct 1857, Bryngolen Dwyran, Llangeinwen (Llanidan Dist), Anglesey, Wales) on 14 Jan 1881, (Bangor Dist), Anglesey, Wales. Their children: Laura Sophia, John Charles, William Richard and Owen. (#1b - possible marriage) to Elizabeth A. of New York, USA, born 1856-1857. No children. (#1b - nth marriage) to Mildred Ann "Millie" OLNEY (b. 05 Aug 1873, Sac Co., IA, USA; d. 24 Aug 1957, Humboldt Co., CA). Their children: Lee Olney, Oliver Knight, Ardie Mack, William Richard, Olive Saphronia Roselinda Terrill Olney, Mildren Anne, Sophia Belle and Helen Elizabeth. (#1 - 2nd marriage) Thomas WORRALL (b. 1843 - 1846, Bristol (Bristol Dist), Gloucester, England; d. ca Jun 1909, (possibly) Liverpool, Lancashire, England) on 09 Mar 1868, Bangor District Registrar's Office, Carnarvon, Wales. One daughter, Sarah (b. ca Dec 1868Llanfair (Bangor Dist), Anglesey, Wales). Thomas WORRALL had 3 children from a prior marriage (Robert George, Thomas, John) and possibly a 3rd marriage to Mary A. with children Margaret, Joseph and Sarah. This SMART family begins in Bristol but bounces around between Liverpool, England and Anglesey, Wales with some ties to Denbigshire, Wales from the oldest female ancestor.
