I am descended from an Alexander Smart born 1755 in Edzell (near Brechin), Angus, Scotland who married Agnes Gold. The city of Dundee in Angus, referenced in family written communications, is just across the Firth of Tay from Fife, so the McKenzie Smarts must have continued northward.
