My father was Frederick Ernest Smart born in Leicester on 2 March 1911, His parents were David John Smart (birth 1874 in Leicester) and Elizabeth Agnes Brewin (birth 1876 in Leicester) David John Smart's parents were David Smart (birth 1839, Leicester) and Sarah Harris a(birth 1838, Leicester) - both born in Liecester. This David was called Dant Smart or David Simard. His parents were Amos Smart (birth abt 1814 Leicester) and Ann Room (birth about 1818 Leicester?) - This is as far as I can go and apart from the birth years for Amos and Ann and that they were married in 1839, I can find no further information except that Ann was a widow in the 1851 census. Can anyone help me find out the following - did Amos die and in what year if so did Ann remarry and become widowed for a second time. any information would be appreciated.
