My grandmother told us that all the time. Then I found out that there was a Clarksville in Virginia and then I found on her census records that she was born in North Carolina. I have yet to find an actual town by that name in North Carolina. I am just lost. I was thinking the town may have had that name in the mid 1800's, but may have changed. ok-i take that back - I just looked it up again and there is a Clarksville Township.
