There is no father named on his birth certificate but he was given the name Smart! I think he spent a little time in the US then enlisted and spent the rest of his life in the UK. My father told me there were no living relatives but my mother said he had a half brother Or did you have a father/great grandfather in the area at the time??? Would love to find a connection.
