This appeared in the May 14, 1852 issue of the Rockland (Maine) Gazette: "FOR SALE. A ONE STORY DWELLING HOUSE, now occupied by Joseph Paul, together with barn and other out-buildings, situated on Lime Rock Street, about three quarters of a mile from Rockland village. Also, forty-four acres of land on which the same is built. The buildings are in good repair, and is a desirable situation for any one engaged in the Lime business.
