They are most certainly all related. Just proving the connection is some times hard. I descend from Robert Smart and Hannah Wiggin's son John Smart and wife Sally Speed. I lived in Newmarket most of my life and have been compiling vital records for several families that settled there from the beginning. I will check my piles of info and get back to you if I find something. The Hilton family was largely settle in a part of Newmarket, N.H. which was broken of and referred to as South Newmarket and in the late 1800's formally as Newfields. The History of Newfields, N.H. by Fitts has much on the Genealogy of the Smart and the Hilton family. Also The History of Exeter, N.H. by Bell, as Exeter, Newmarket and Newfields were all one town in the beginning. Cross check under the Hilton family to see if they list her marriage to John Smart. This family is rather strange with many multiple marriages (liaisons, in any case) and probably lots of abandoned children/wives.
