    3. Hi Brian, I think the village of Markovoi is actually Markovci. If you look closely at the manuscript for Ana Gorza you'll see it's not an "o" but a "c". It's more obvious if you look at her mother's address in the next box to the right. As corroboration of this, Markovci is located in extreme NE Slovenia near the present Hungarian border and there is a DRAGO GORZA, MARKOVCI listed in the Slovenian online telephone directory. http://tis.telekom.si . I have found Marokret on an old Hungarian map and by cross referencing Fehring and Radkersburg from that map with the same cities on a modern map that also shows Markovci it appears that Marokret and Markovci are the Hungarian and Slovenian names for the same place. The old Hungarian map clearly shows this area of of present day Slovenia as part of Hungary at that time. I'll email you the maps if you're interested. Good luck, Ron Pozin
