I am in search of information regarding my grandfather Jernej Gradisnik. I have been in contact with the Administration Unit Mozirje in Slovenia and have been able to put together the following. His mother was Marija Valte, born 26 September 1865 in Savinji village near Ljubno. She married a Gradisnik, date, name of husband and place unkown. Jernej was born onn19 August 1885 in Savinji. No father was listed on the birth certificate. Marija Valte/Gradisnik then married Johan Lesjak on 4 November 1894 and they had five children. I can provide their names if someone is interested. My quest is to find the name of Marija's first husband and the father of Jernej. Another question - have other individuals written to the Administration Unit Mozirje? If so if I write in english will that present a problem? The last time I wrote to them, I used a form letter written in slovenian. This time I want to request specific questions.
