    3. Try http://www.genealogyunlimited.com/ for historical maps and http://www.omnimap.com/ for the Atlas of Slovenia (but it's expensive). At http://www.iasnet.com/zem_eng/index2-50.asp?X=5518757&Y=5112679 if you play around a bit you can find almost any town in Slovenia. It helps if you know generally in what part of the country the town is located. Use the 300,000, or 600,000 scales to move quickly and fine tune with the 50,000 scale. You can save the image with a right click. These are the same maps that are in the Atlas of Slovenia. Old Austro-Hungarian maps are at http://feefhs.org/maps/ah/mapiah.html but they are large scale and show only the larger towns, usually labeled in German.
