Donna, I just looked up Marsko in the Atlas of Slovenia and found it on page 130 section A3. That won't do you much good without the book, but a library may have one. The description of its location is: Slightly west of a north/south line drawn through the city of Sava. Slightly north of an east/west line drawn through Gabrovka. It is a very small village south west of a slightly bigger village of Lupinica (which may be easier to find on a map). I hope this helps. We know he was from Slovenia, once a part of Austria. I have been unable to find Marsko or anything like it on the current maps of Austria or Slovenia. The name may be misspelled. Does this name or any variant thereof ring a bell with anyone? Any help appreciated, Donna Wolf -- Please do not pass this [email protected] address on to anyone without checking with me.
