Hi I am new to this site. I read something that sounded as if there is a Slovenian gen.convention in Slovenia. If so, is it an annual event? what date? Can someone give me the details? I am researching the SMREKAR name. Mathias Smrekar (b. 1830) came from Crnomelj in 1853 and settled in Fryburg, PA where many of his descendants still live. Can someone help me pronounce Crnomelj?
