But there are several places called Podvrh in Slovenia. I hope this one really is the right one. As far as the Katz "variables" go, there is noone by that surname living around Draga (the first larger place near Trava) today. Though, if I look through last names appearing in the region, your Katz could maybe be Kec (in a place called Lazec), Keser or Klepac (in Podpreska), Kek (in Spodnja Draga). Who knows what was actually said in Ellis island and what was actually written down... With a little imagination, anything's possible.
