Hi Brenda, > Hi, my grandmother was born in Hrusevca, Slovenia in 1910, and brought family photos with her when she came to the US. I need help translating the wording on the back of one of the photos. This is what (I think)it says (handwritten): > > "Lahko to pornaste Lepe pordrave in poljube "Can you send nice regards and kisses (the word *pornaste* do not exist, so I assume it was wrote incorrectly - it should be *ponesete*) > Lepa hvala usemi Sestra Nevesta in Teta- > Maria" Thanks to all Sister Bride and Aunt Maria" > I know that sestra is sister, but the "S" in that word is written almost like > an "L" and looks very similar to the "L"s in Lahko, Lepe, and Lepa. (they > were written as capital L's) Yes, I know what you mean. This year I received a wall calendar with the beautiful post cards on it, which are all dated between 1900 and 1910. I was very surprised with the different handwriting, because all of the letters were mixed with the Gotics stile. Therefore the letter *L* would look almost the same as letter *S* Have a nice day, daniela from sLOVEnia
