Do you know if your GGF came from Visnja gora or rather from one of the surrounding villages? In Visnja gora, I can't find any similar sounding last names, but things change in 100 years - with a little imagination, the family name could be Vrhovec now, there are families by that name in today's Visnja gora and Kamno brdo.
