I just started doing research on my grandmother known as Rozalia Bugaj born in Tyapesso, Hungary on 2-12-1891 (or 1892). She arrived at Ellis Island in 1907 and settled in Chicago. Guessing that Tyapesso is a small village - just wondered if any Bugaj's are in your family tree. My great-grandfather would have been Stefan Bugaj. Rozalia had a brother Mihaly Bugaj she went to see in Chicago. They were Roman Catholic in the US so assuming they were Catholic in Slovakia/Hungary. If you have any info on the local Churchs or other sources for birth certificates or other info on the family - would be appreciated.
