My grandfather's name was Metro. I learned he had a son named Metro who lived in Darrien, CT (whom I never knew) and who died in 1997. I understand he never married though. However, my grandfather Metro had a brother Andrew, who also had a son named Metro. Although they lived in Coaldale and Hauto at first, Andrew moved to Port Carbon, and perhaps his son Metro moved to Pottstown. My grandfather Metro and Andrew's father's name was Isaac, but he never came to America. Does any of this information sound familiar to you? Author: ctpatrick19 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.eeurope.slovenia.general/12.5.1.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Laurie, First of all, I'm very sorry about your dad's passing. His music brought a lot of joy to so many people. My dad still listens to the polka shows on the radio and polka CDs all the time. I don't know if you remember me (Chris Patrick), but I'll bet you remember my dad and mom - John and Charmayne Patrick. We used to visit your mom and dad with my grandparents (Frank and Mary Patrick). As a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure you stayed at our house when your dad's band played for my grandparents 50th anniversary party in the late 1970s. This message board has been a great way to find some info about my grandmother's side (Kobal) of the family. For you and other Kobal relatives, we have a family reunion every year. Carol Kobal, Aunt Rose, Uncle Rudy, and Claudessa's family have attended in the past. We've invited your mom and asked her to pass on the info to you and the rest of your family. If you send me your email address, I can make sure the information is passed on to you this year. We'd love to get in touch with members of the Kobal side of the Patrick/Kobal family. My email address is ctpatrick19@comcast.net Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
