Dear List members: I have recently been shown a birth certificate for a great uncle. The certificate was issued in 1892, however, the man was born in 1862. The certificate is in Hungarian and the names are in Latin. I have been able to translate most of the certificate, however, there are a few words that are escaping me, and a couple of the them may be important. If any of you can be of help, I would appreciate it. Near the top is a line that is partially printed and partially handwritten. It says "a szens Miklosrol czimzess Sirokai" Roman Catholic Church Register of Births. The other puzzle is under the parents names, occupation, religion and birthplace The mother is listed as Anna Kovacs, "opilio or osilio". The godmother is listed as Anna Czmorej, "ingnilina or inguilina". The priest is listed as P. Rudolphus "Zsemberg or Zsemlorj" and below that is "Cooperasor". Thank you in advance for your time. Renee
