I received, from a relative, a xerox copy of what is supposed to be the baptismal certificate of my great-grandfather. I have it posted to http://users.ticnet.com/stevem/bapt.gif Can someone tell me what it says? Near as I can make out, it says that Imrich JANIC was born in Dubovica in 1866 and that he was the son of Andrej JANIC [something ???] and Zusana KRUPIK ??? Specific questions I have are: 1) Am I correct in reading "1866" as a date? What is the rest of date? 2) Can anyone make out the surname of the mother? 3) Is this some kind of delayed certificate? It bothers me that down at the bottom this form says "anno 19__". This does not seem to be a form that would have been used in 1866. any thoughts appreciated Steve Martonak --
