Anyone know if these names might be related? I ask because my father once told me that our last name, Turk, was probably shortened from its original Hungary name. I don't yet even know where in Hungary my Turk name is from...hence, why I'm trying to find out. The LDS microfilmed church records were wonderful. I went back several generations. Also researching TORSZOK (spelled Tursak, Thursack in US) from what was then Szepes (Zipster), Hungary, now Spiss, Slovakia. Don't know the village in Spiss or how I could narrow it down. "Zipster Comitat" was on naturalization records and I can't find the ship records. I believe Ludwig Torszok was German but may have been Magyar. Any ideas? Robin in Maryland
