I am searching for the family of Peter Sloan who married Elizabeth Petery and had 10 sons, Archibald, Joseph, Henry, Elias, Lafayette, David, William, Washington, John & Nathan. He is supposed to have been born in KY, but I suspect he really came from Virginia. One son, Archibald is often shown as born in VA, but married 27 oct 1817 in Maryland to Margaret Kephart. All the other children were born in Maryland. My direct line is Henry, b. 1803 in MD, m. 27 Jan 1827 to Elizabeth Ann Myer. Most of the families moved to Ohio where Peter died about 1843, and the rest scattered from there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Thanks, Sally
