Beth, Ellie and all, I must be lucky, I've never received an infected genealogy file and I do a lot of swapping. We used to have problems at the office, but that was because Typhoid Mary was our secretary. Since ya'll now have me worried, I loaded the Norton Antiviris which came free with my new computer. I use it at the office and it was very good at warning you when an infected file came in and it could repair most "word processing" type virus damaged files. The best prevention is to include everything is the body of message. The Bios seem like a good idea, I noticed Bill Newcommer posted his Sloan family on one of the Bulletin Boards. A good chance to tell your story to the world. Maybe I need to sponser a Sloan Board for Bios or transcribed material. What do you think?? At least it is virus free!!
