I have just received a pension application for F.M. Sloan of Nacogdoches county Texas for service in the Confederate forces of the C.S.A. I thought this might be my Marion Franklin Sloan, but it's not. This one is only listed by the initials F.M. in every entry on this application. He was botn 27 July , 1832. He was a carpenter. He enrolled with Co D, 6th La Reg and served 4 years. Me moved to Nacogdoches county in 1888, but was in Texas continuously since at least Jan 1880.
