Hi Folks, I was just posting a query for Lee Bain on my Website and I thought I would query the group. Patrick Sloan d. in 1827 in Franklin Co. Va. and left a will. Does anyone know for sure what happen to these two?? Lee found evidence in a deed in Wilkes Co. NC. that they were probably there in 1820. "A Sept 1820 deed record has William Abshire of Wilkes selling 137 acres to William Slone of Franklin Co., Va on Mulberry Creek. Witnesses, William McGrady, Larkin Brown, Jacob Slone." William Slone wasn't listed in the 1820 Census index of Wilkes Co. but Lee hand searched it and found him listed as William Slown. Lee belives this Wm. married Mary Koons and relocated from Wilks Co. to Greene/Grainger/Jefferson Co. Tn. All of Lee's evidence & research looks good to me. Is there any evidence in VA. of where Wm. or Jacob relocated to? Any ideas??
