Catherine Sloan in 1812 Duplin Co. NC. I believe the family relocated from NC. to Thomas Co. Ga. to Coffee Co. Al then Cherokee Co. TX. In an article that Sloan Mason provided, Folks Huxford says Catherine had a sister Elizabeth that m. Hardy Carlton, uncle of Shadrack and that Catherine's father was named John. I've been trying to pin Catherine & Elizabeth as daus of John Sloan and Nancy Wells of Duplin Co. NC. but I don't really have any evidence this is the correct John.. There are just too many John Sloans from Duplin Co. for me to work everything out. I'm sure my current construction of the family has facts for several different John Sloans mixed up. Can anyone help?? Frank Mitchell >> Frank: I wonder if the above info is from Dr. Sloan's <President of Baylor> family line... Did I send you a copy of his lineage he gave me? I do know his line came from Duplin Co NC... Ellie
