Frank I saw original message and tried to contact the original poster. It did appear to be Capt. David Sloan's line. My only reply was a form letter stating the poster had no further information [in spite of several references "see Earle Family" etc. As a warning, at least some of the information is bad. Benjamin Franklin Sloan's wife was not as listed in the post. Her name was Eliza C Earle. She was the daughter of General John Baylis Earle. B. F. Sloan was the son of Captain Sloan. There seemed to be several other errors in the message. I have this Sloan branch fairly well in hand if anyone needs some help. Now if we could just find out about the Captain's orgins...
