I'm searching for info on the children of A. Hugh Russell SLOAN and Margaret Violet REID. They were married 27 Sep 1878 in Manti, UT. Hugh was born 5 Aug 1856 in Conlig, Down, Ireland, chr. 11 Feb 1861 Bangor, Down, Ireland, and died 28 Oct 1920 Portland, OR. He was buried 2 Nov 1920 in Cardston, Alberta, Canada. I beleive that he was related to Edward L SLOAN of Salt Lake City, UT (b. either in Bangor, Down, Ireland or Conlig, Down, Ireland). Margaret was the daughter of John Patrick REID and Margaret KIRKWOOD. She was born 16 Apr 1857 in Edinburgh, Scotland and died 22 Oct 1944 in Hillspring, Alberta, Canada. I know they had atleast 3 children: 1. John Samuel SLOAN b. 6 Jul 1879 Park City, Summit, UT. 2. William (Walter) Reid SLOAN b. 30 Mar 1881 Manti, UT. 3. Clara SLOAN b. 14 Oct 1889 Manti, UT, d. 23 Sep 1979 Cardston, Alberta, Canada, m. William Charles SMITH 9 Jun 1909 Logan, UT.
