To be effective, Norton Antivirus must be frequently updated via online connections. I know; I made the same mistake, i.e. failing to update. If you already have a virus, you should check with Symantec about disenabling it before you run Norton; otherwise, Norton will offer no protection. If you have done all this, why not check with Norton to see if they have some sort of guarantee...seems like I remember something like that - from way back. Again, GOOD LUCK...I've been there, and it's NO Fun. Helen D.
