Last time I drove over to Jean, Nv we passed what was left of Sloan. Pop is the only name I ever knew the founder by. Since we shared the same last name, my brothers and I use to claim that it was "our" town. The Sloans of Sloan...if you ever see the place you wouldn't want to claim it...dumpy buildings in the desert but Vegas is growing out so fast that we may wish we had bought the land when it was less than $5.00 an acre.
