    1. "Sloans Restaurant"
    2. Maybe some of you have been there and know about this. I was recently in Glascow, Scotland on business. Had about an hour of free time to walk around the downtown area. Turned down Argyll Arcade, a wonderfully perserved arcade shopping lane and stumbled upon "Sloans Restaurant". Beautiful entrance, with great mahogany, stained glass, marble and tile. Had to go back that night for beer and food. Combined with the atmosphere was great. Restaurant dates to 1797. Was purchased on 7 February 1906 by David Sloan, formerly manager of the Horseshoe Bar in Drury Street. I don't think any Sloans still own the place, unless they own current title holder Alloa Pubs and Restaurants Limited. Anyone that heads to Glascow needs to visit: 62 Argyll Arcade, 108 Argyle Street, Glasgow. Charlie Sloan
