Franck Mitchell and all; A few years ago I was in Sloan, Duplin County, North Carolina... no post office, one very old house... area is mostly farm and pasture with some wooded... It is at least in the same county as John Sloan and Rachel Alderman, but there were Sloans all over that county... Gordon Sloan in Arizona.
