Nancy, I haven't heard from anyone else, maybe you and I are the only ones interested in this line. So I'll make this my final message to the whole SLOAN-SLONE group. At this point, I beginning to think there are two different Sloan lines in Jackson Co, a Va. bunch and a NC. bunch. For years I'm been trying to keep it as one family from VA. but last year someone sent me some convincing evidence that Jesse and Mark and Samuel(2) are part of the Smith/Macon Co. Tn. group that came from the Iredell/Rowan Co. NC. Archibald Sloan line. {not to be confused with Mecklenburg Co. NC. group also in Smith Co.} This Archibald Sloan line originally came from Lancaster Co. PA. (has a lot of researchers) AND one branch did go to VA. in late 1700's. At this point, I have not tried to find Jonathan or Isaac in Va. I'll get back to you on your other comments.
