In the 1850 Macon County Census, Austin Kirby and Deborah Sloan Kirby Have an Emily Kirby 13yrs living in the household next door, I wasn't able to get the last name of the elderly couple Emily was living with. Austin was born in NC, Deborah in TN in abt 1823. You might check Gallatin County,IL for you disappearing Sloans. Austin and Deborah moved there bef. abt 1860 and I did see that there were some Sloans there also, but I don't know how they tie in. I will go through my records and get better info. Jeff
