May I extend a warm and hearty greeting to all recipients from the beautiful island of Guernsey. I am Michael Charles Sloan. I am a direct descendant of James Slowan, born 11th April 1784 in Dundonald who married Ann Andrew on the 8th December 1812. He was my Great, Great, Great Grandfather. There is a possible connection to what may be his father, James Slowan of Troon. We came to Guernsey in the 1970's and were, at that time, the only Sloan family on the island. There are now another four families. We intend to make contact.
