Hi Folks, A while back, Ellie Swanger sent me what is supposed to be a complete listing of Sloans in the Confederacy. I finally finished transcribing the listing and thought I would post it to the group and solicit your help. I've been able to identify my kin folks, but I'm having a hard time placing (with any confidence) most of the others into the right families. Mainly because of the use of initials instead of full names and of course too many James, Johns and Williams. SO! if you can identify one your Sloans here, I very much appreciate a note from you with info on which county or parents etc. My goal is to post the list on my website sometime in the very near future, hopefully with as much upgraded information as possible.
