    3. Thanks everyone for the reply's. David , that is some interesting stuff on Richard Sisson's and Mary Atkisson. Ralph does seem kind of odd to me though. I can't recall that name popping up much in Sisson genealogy. I am still of the theory that our line is connected somewhere to William Sisson and Ann White that were in Northumberland and their descendants moved to Gateshead, Durham. There is always a possibility that this could all be the same line. I did find one of the Sisson families in Durham County that ended up in Yorkshire. You can't make a whole lot out of that. I am in Richard and Mary's line from Rhode Island, but here I live in Texas. It is possible that a record could turn up. I have always thought that many of the genealogy society quarterly's that are often looked over because they not always organized the best, might someday provide some answers. More and more of these and other books are getting on Ancestry.com all the time. Genealogy is getting more interesting all the time, brick walls and all. Larry L. Sisson

Anything is possible at this point, unless we can find something that identifies an English Richard (and Mary) with the American couple. > I did find one of > the Sisson families in Durham County that ended up in Yorkshire. > You can't make a whole lot out of that. Try searching through PERSI, an index of nearly all the genealogical journals. Just search on that term. I'm sure you'll find something. Of course the problem is that when you find an article that sounds interesting, the next chore is to find a library that has the journal and will copy and send it to you. > More and more of these and other books are getting on Ancestry.com all the time. > Genealogy is getting more interesting all the time, brick walls and all. > Larry L. Sisson Righto! Brick walls are THE most interesting. David
