There's an interesting document currently offered on ebay. This is a letter from 1914, addressed to George Wing Sisson Jr., of Potsdam NY, from Franklin Roosevelt, who was at the time Assistant Secretary of the Navy. It's signed by Roosevelt and sends his regrets that he can't attend a meeting of the Agricultural Society.
