Robert G. Sisson Sept. 30, 1921 - Sept. 13, 2006 Robert Goff Sisson, 84, Anderson, passed away Sept. 13, 2006, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tenn., after a brief illness. He was born Sept. 30, 1921, in New Castle, the son of Dorval and Mary (Goff) Sisson and was a lifelong Anderson resident. He was a fork truck driver at Guide Lamp for 41 years and a member of Mounds Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughter, Sandra (husband, David) McGuire of Mount Pleasant, Tenn.; son, Donald (wife, Glorene) Sisson of Anderson; grandchildren, Tony (wife, Deirdre) Sisson of Muncie, Christopher (wife, Jenny) Sisson of Pendleton, Sean Sisson of Greenfield, Nicholas Sisson of Port Glasgow, Scotland, Shannon (husband, Tony) Watters of Anderson, David (wife, Tricia) McGuire of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Jamie (husband, Will) Highers of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; great-grandchildren, Astra Sisson and Max Sisson, both of Muncie, Christina Sisson and Vincent Sisson, both of Pendleton, Avery Sisson, Kaleb Sisson, Alexis Sisson and Brady Sisson, all of Greenfield, Lainey Swinford, Kasey Swinford, Adam Watters and Madison Watters, all of Anderson, and Vaughn McGuire and Stella McGuire, both of Ann Arbor, Mich.; sister, Joan Wright of Anderson; brother, Donald K. (wife, Janet) Sisson of Anderson; several nieces and nephews; and “Tipper”, his faithful K-9 companion. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Sisson. Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Wilkinson officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
