119. Albert G. SISSON His mother's Bible lists Albert's birth. In a letter dated August 8, 1857, he invited his unmarried cousin, Philip Sisson, to visit him in Greene County, where he lived with his wife Mary. "I will show you a gentle, kind, affectionate, loving wife, in a word the best of women, and four lovely little girls - a sight that is worth a week's travel for any bachelor to see." At 22, he was unusually young to be the father of four, but we have very little information about him, except for his death date. After his death, Mary is shown living on the Culpeper land that Albert received from his father Benjamin. Mary later sold it, and it ultimately became part of the George Woodville property. We have not found any other information about the four lovely little girls. Carol and Sisson List here is a few more items on Albert. Sisson age 44 ,School teacher Green County Virginia with wife Mary B Sisson age 27 Children C Sisson female 9, B J Sisson age 6 female, F L Sisson age 4 female, M S Sisson age 2 female, Hiram Sims 51 gentleman.. 1870 Census Orange County Mary B Sisson 38 , Betty Sisson age 18, Fanny Sisson age 16, Molly Sisson age 13, Breckinridge Sisson male age 10, Lella Sisson age 7. 1880 Census Greene County, Standardsville District Mary B Sisson age 49 Molly S. Sisson age 23 Lella H Sisson age 18 Albert G Sisson married Mary B Hume March 30th 1850 in Madison County Virginia. Children: C Sisson 9 Betty J Sisson Fanny L Sisson born Oct 12 1854 Molly S Sisson Breckenridge Sisson born June 16, 1860 Lella H Sisson Birth dates for Fanny and Breckenridge are from the Greene County birth records..
