Sisson, Robert G. Age 81, died January 19, 2004 in Port Charlotte, FL. He was born August 21, 1922 in Rochester. He moved from Spencerport [suburban Rochester] to Port Charlotte in 1982. Bob is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, K. Louise (Keneflick); his sons, Ronald (Marcia) and Richard (Donna); five grandchildren, Julie and Michael Sisson, Kevin and Jennifer Borden, and Adam Sisson. He was predeceased by his wife, Hazel (Adams) and son Roger. Services were held at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Port Charlotte on January 27. After graduating from Cornell at age 19, he began his teaching career at Avoca [NY] High School; he later taught at the high school in Spencerport for over twenty years. He served in the US Navy in World War II and was a member of Ogden [NY] Baptist Church. Bob enjoyed playing golf and was a member of Salmon Creek and Port Charlotte Gold Clubs. An avid duplicate bridge player, he achieved Silver Life Master rating in American Contract Bridge League. He was very active in charitable work in Florida, working with a migrant farm workers program; for many years he directed the food drive at St. Charles Borromeo Church and worked tirelessly for Good Samaritans of Charlotte County. He was also a member of the American Hibiscus Society. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at Ogden Baptist Church in Spencerport (to be announced).
